Relative strangers. [Large print ed.]

Zarah hadn't expected such an icy reception. After all, her reason for coming to the little Norwegian village of Dalvik was quite innocent: she wanted to unravel the mystery of her parentage.

It was only one man's opinion, Zarah kept telling herself. What did it matter what Stein thought? But strangely, she found that it did.
