The Gold Scent Bottle

Max Waring returns to England after four years in the army only to run into his beautiful former fiancée who is now, oddly enough, his stepmother, having jilted him to marry his father. As the self-absorbed Felicity coyly tries to re-establish their bond, he resolves to find a way to put some distance between them. He ends up enlisting impoverished beauty Abigail Monroe to pose as his new fiancée at a house party at his father’s estate.
