Various situations confronting the police interrogator ranging from the recalcitrant witness to the voluntary confessor to crimes he did not commit are discussed. The Supreme Court decisions of the last decade, particularly those mandating the presence of counsel during interrogation and the giving of Miranda warnings which must be knowingly and intelligently waived make this book of little practical value at present.
