Sir Gibbie (Illustrated)

This new illustrated translation of George Macdonald's beloved tale features all the complete original text, with the dialogue portions, which have proven such a barrier in the past to would be readers, split into two columns: the broad Scots on the left, the English translation on the right. Endorsed by C S Lewis's stepson Douglas Gresham, and a number of other authorities on both Lewis and MacDonald, and beautifully illustrated by artist Carrie Stout, this long-awaited aid to understanding Sir Gibbie is a must for all lovers of the 19th century preacher-poet!
